The Russian Yars intercontinental ballistic missile is 12 times more destructive than the atomic bomb that was dropped by USA on Hiroshima. Russia showcased placing two Yars ICBMs into launch silos on Wednesday, December 14, and Thursday, December 15, 2022.

The Russian Defense Ministry said they showcased the rearmament process for the upcoming Strategic Rocket Forces Day, which is a holiday for the military branch that will be celebrated on December 17.

The official name of the Yars ICBM is “RS-24 Yars”. Yars ICBM is capable of carrying multiple nuclear warheads and has an estimated operational range of 11,000 kilometers or 6,800 miles. The nuclear rearmament took place at the Kozelsk missile facility in Kaluga Region, which is south-east from Moscow.

From October 17 to October 30, 2022, NATO held its annual nuclear exercise in Europe. In its annual nuclear exercise, NATO didn’t test the launching of an ICBM.

Russia began its annual nuclear exercise on October 26. During this annual nuclear exercise Russia did test launching of an ICBM. Russians did it to test their response to a possible nuclear attack.

Nuclear war should never happen and the way to avoid it is that nobody strikes first.
